Nothing fancy here, just my training since the 1st of the year. I had 1400 miles all of last year, so this is a huge improvement. It has really paid off so for. I feel amazing right now. Hanging tough with the expert geared crowd is a hoot! My HR rarely gets in the mid 180's anymore, which is great considering my max is 200-so my missed match plan is working!
Impressive stats. What gear ratio are you running? 17+mph is moving. Impressive max HR also.
ReplyDelete52/11 on the road bike and 32/17 on the SS's. I try not to use the 39 at all. Riding the SS has definetly made a huge difference in my overall road riding.
ReplyDeleteThanks, 200 bpm isnt bad for an old guy!
ReplyDeleteIm 42 and have trouble getting my HR over 162 even during intervals. but I can keep it at 157-158 for 10+minutes. Today 172. my gear ratio 32-18. Thanks for the entertaining blog. Hope you had a good race today. Craig. Denver Co.
ReplyDeleteYour max HR may be lower than mine, this is why getting over 162 is tough. Your LT may be a lot lower as well. You can do 30 minute TT to get a rough idea on LT. I did have a great race! 3rd place.
